Interior vs. Exterior Catalog
This catalog highlights my photo essay where I depicted the story of my six-year “relationship” with my necklace and the themes it represents.
Divided into two parts, it tells a captivating visual story, contrasting the landscapes my necklace has seen with those it hasn’t. Utilizing evocative imagery of Armenia’s landscapes accompanied by my necklace, I curated various galleries in pivotal locations in my life—my childhood home and college apartment.
Conversely, I crafted a series of postcards utilizing images that document my day through the point of view of my necklace, chronicling its experiences alongside mine. These postcards were distributed to friends, family, and strangers, encouraging them to write letters addressed to Armenia, whether the message was to the country itself or a heartfelt note to a family member residing there. These were addressed to significant monuments in Armenia.
In essence, this serves as an exploration of a facet of my identity that feels distanced, an ode to a land I have yet to visit, intertwined with an emblem that remains an intrinsic part of my daily existence.
