Immersive Music Video

For this project, I created an immersive music video experience for the song "On My Knees" by the house artist Rufus Du Sol. The video was designed to be presented across three walls, enveloping the audience in a dynamic, multi-sensory environment.

When I first listened to "On My Knees," I envisioned a drive at night through a cityscape, with the feeling of speed, the glow of city lights, and the sense of urgency and intensity that the song evokes. To capture these emotions, I focused on a predominantly red color palette, deliberately chosen to convey the song's intense mood and resonate with the visual themes in the original music video. The music video was crafted to synchronize with the song's rhythm and energy, featuring rapid transitions and vibrant imagery that mirror the experience of speeding through a city at night.

Utilizing text-based image-making AI software, Midjourney and Runway, I improved my skills in prompting these tools to create the images I envisioned. I then used After Effects to seamlessly stitch together all the videos generated with Midjourney. By aligning the clip transitions with the beat drops and lyric changes in the song, I aimed to create a dynamic and synchronized visual experience that enhances the music's impact. The result is a cohesive and immersive video that not only complements but also amplifies the emotional and auditory experience of the track.
